I have realized something – almost 20-25% of my clients are still not sure that they would love to be in the niche that they are in. My estimates may be off by a few percentage points on any of the two sides, but the fact remains that one out of every 4 or 5 people would love to look at new niches rather than sticking to their current ones. This is most because they started out with the wrong keyword research, and are now stuck trying to sell something that does not have enough demand.
In a few cases where my clients were asking me, I had promptly made them a suggestion – “Why don’t you open your own SEO service provider company?”
Do you see the rationale? This company will be actually a zero-investment zero-work (except for selling) all-profit one if done properly. How? The idea’s pretty simple.
You don’t invest in the tools or in acquiring the knowledge or people. SEO is a deeply technical subject so it may not even be a great idea for many, in the first place.
The idea is to resell the offers of the SEO services companies to those who would not have used these services otherwise. For example, your acquaintance who would run her small business, your local restaurant that would not care about SEO by default ((but would gain a lot from it), your lawyer, your chiropractor, whoever it might be.
At the back end, you will use an affordable SEO services company (like mine, for example, or any such other company that you know of and trust) to invest in the expensive tools, people and expertise. They will know how to handle a large number of clients. Also, the SEO service company you choose will further be responsible for running the monthly maintenance package, if your client chooses to avail it.
Your job here is essentially that of a reseller – like retail sellers sell products after buying them from a wholesale business. This approach is scalable and makes you free from any obligation. And yet, for your clients, you are the go-to person. They will see you, and not the back end provider, for any hassle.
You are white-labeling this as your service. If you are not happy with the back end provider, you have an easy option to switch from one provider to another, with the client never even realizing it.
So now you see how easy it is to sell SEO services. Also, you could use telemarketing services at the front end if you are not comfortable with selling.
